经过四年分居生活后，新结Ahmad（阿里·莫沙法 Ali Mosaffa 饰）在法国妻子Marie（贝热尼丝·贝乔 Bérénice Bejo 饰）的要求下，新结从德黑兰来到巴黎正式办理离婚。从短暂的巴黎之行中，Ahmad看到了妻子与女儿之间冲突不断。Ahmad试图帮助其改善关系，结果发现了一段过去的秘密。
