回复 :Herbert Ross导演的本片，讲述两个在当年热爱芭蕾舞的女性好友，其一先成为家庭主妇，另一则继续舞蹈事业成为知名舞星。当她们看到下一代在舞蹈上的成就时，二人不禁为当年的恩怨而重新爆发冲突。通俗剧化的女性友谊故事，内容虽然丰富，但导演手法平凡，只有两位女主角的精采演出和芭蕾舞表演仍维持了吸引力。

Micheaux shows the reality of Dixie racism in 1920, where a black man could be lynched for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
