本故事根据真人真事改编。讲述的是一个河南农民李高峰进京打工，末成由于河南人的声誉导致他几次被用人单位拒绝，末成无奈之下，他卖起了烤红薯。一次偶然的机会，看到了不远处的一道河沟，垃圾遍地，臭气熏天，他心里久久不能平静，他开始与这条河沟结下了不解“缘份”，正是因为这条河沟，使他的生活发生了变化……
