2008年以后，警察国内外媒体进入西藏受到严格限制。2014年，警察我们趁12年一次朝圣年的机会，入藏采访当地最新情况。从公元前至今，受西藏人崇拜的冈仁波齐，是耸立于印度、尼泊尔和中国边境附近，海拔6656米的神山。本片沿从拉萨到冈仁波齐转山的旅程，记录因开发而急剧变化的拉萨市内及沿路村镇景象，介绍鲜为人知的西藏最新面貌。
