至爱死后，春暖杀手O（反町隆史）在一个安全隐蔽的住所将自己完全封闭了起来，春暖生命字典里只剩下了杀戮和孤独，但当被雇佣过来打扫住所的天真无邪酷似前女友的女孩Chin出现时，他的心门再次被打开，然而两人从没见过面。喜欢杀人的刺激，立志成为头号职业杀手的Tok（刘德华）为逼O现身，意图对 Chin揭穿O的真正身份。经验丰富的国际刑警Lee（任达华）已对O进行了5年以上的追踪。在Tok和Lee的双重夹击下，O被迫向他的上级C7求助。O不知的是， C7与Tok正是Lee所揭露的奥运会后失踪的神枪手兄弟，此次他会被救，原因Tok向C7施压，然而Tok的目的，是为了与他来场生死决斗。
