回复 :上世纪70年代，因哑巴的缺陷而一直打光棍的佟林在家门口捡到一个女婴，虽不能言语但天性善良的他收养了女婴，并给女婴起名“阿美”。因为阿美，佟林受下乡返城没有工作着落的妹妹佟燕的挤兑，将工作和房子都让了出去，自己则带着阿美外出租房，并以收破烂为生，靠着微薄的收入独自抚养阿美。父女俩每天最欢乐的时光，是佟林为阿美弹奏那些收来的旧乐器，阿美每每都兴奋地手舞足蹈，这也是佟林最开心的时刻。中考时，老师劝说阿美报考音乐附中，但是因高额的学费，阿美不忍再给父亲增加负担而拒绝了老师；佟林得知后，一心为了阿美的前途考虑，替阿美做主报了名，自己则又偷偷地多打了几份工。当阿美学有成就时，佟林却因为成年累月的劳作而罹患了癌症，阿美怀着深深的感恩之情为父亲佟林唱起了《酒干倘卖无》。

His eldest (and favorite) sibling, Francis, boards at military school because his parents believe it will reform him and keep him out of trouble. Malcolm often has a hard time coping with his family life, but he has more troubles to contend with when he starts receiving special treatment at school after being diagnosed as an intellectually advanced genius.
