八十年代初期的邵氏电影，猫女在赌片上下的工夫显然是比较大。比如这部投资不大、猫女效益却不小的《打雀英雄传》，就是其中的一个代表作。刚刚在电视银屏上塑造完赌王形象的谢四哥，再度重操旧业，扮演起了足智多谋的麻雀英雄，角色尚算是有情有义。故事围绕着年青电脑专家钱小豪展开，四哥为了帮他，避免其麻雀馆落入麻雀千王败类岳华手上，不惜重新出山与其鏖战，双方斗智，最终胜出一筹。

回复 :音乐给人精神愉悦的同时，常常会成为人生的支点，这一点对于青年琵琶演奏家、音乐学院硕士研究生季静来说尤为重要。年轻而又美丽的女琵琶演奏家季静正在准备她的琵琶音乐会，这场音乐会对于季静来说不是一场普通的音乐会，这是她生命的最后重彩，是她生命的总结。季静痛苦的秘密，连她的导师雷德清先生和恋人阿桂都不知道。季静正在研读明清著名音乐家汤应曾的音乐古谱《十面埋伏》，这是汤应曾用毕生坎坷重新演绎的汉代古曲，里面包含着汤应曾对死亡的蔑视与崇敬。由于音乐会经费不足，季静不得不疲于奔命。同明朝的汤应曾一样，在世情与音乐间徘徊。汤应曾以生命为代价，重新写出《十面埋伏》，在《十面埋伏》的琵琶曲中，汤应曾在对一个一个死亡的追忆中，悲然死去。季静不愿死去，但死亡不以人的意志为转移。在最后的日子里，她几乎是在与汤应曾的交流中度过的。她在冥冥之中感受着汤应曾的每一次死亡和每一次死亡感受到的精神力量，这种精神力量让季静把自己对这个世界的最后一点爱溶入到个人独奏音乐会中，并献给她深深依恋的这个世界。从迷惘到坚定，一个美丽的弱女子用琵琶歌唱她的真善美，用琵琶演绎生命的辉煌与创造力以及对生命的珍惜。季静从中寻找到人生的最高境界——生命永存！

回复 :During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. They must use their ingenuity to survive the dangers, and to devise a way to return home. Sequel to '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea' . Written by Stewart M. Clamen <clamen@cs.cmu.edu>In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago.
