回复 :美丽少女阿露（小川节子 饰）早年丧母，父亲饭岛平左卫门（小泉郁之助 饰）另娶女中阿国（林美树 饰）为妻。阿国一面和管家私通，一面视阿露为继承家产的眼中钉。苦闷的阿露某日避雨时遇见伞匠新三郎（谷本一 饰），二人一见倾心。不久后新三郎和阿露再次相遇，爱火点燃，两人共赴巫山，突然阿露父亲闯入，新三郎惊醒却发现是南柯一梦。盂兰节之夜，阿露竟来至爱人住处幽会。然很快一个僧人（木夏卫 饰）道出个中蹊跷，原来阿露已为继母和管家所害，夜晚与新三郎相会的竟是阿露执著红尘情缘的鬼魂……
