普拉村村民尼玛扎堆在父亲去世后决定完成父亲的遗愿，亚洲带着叔叔去拉萨和神山冈仁波齐朝圣。时正马年，亚洲正好是神山冈仁波齐百年一遇的本命年，小村里很多人都希望加入尼玛扎堆的朝圣队伍。这支队伍里有即将临盆的孕妇、家徒四壁的屠夫、自幼残疾的少年，每个人都有着不同的故事也怀揣着各自的希望。为了去冈仁波齐，这支十一人的队伍踏上了历时一年，长达2000多里的朝圣之路......
