抗战胜利前夕，离婚啦被日寇蹂躏多年的柳堡解放了。新四军开了进来，离婚啦江南的百姓由于多年来受尽了兵匪日寇的欺侮，对拿枪的“兵”总是怀有某种不可言状的戒心。新四军战士纪律严明，作风严谨，很快就消除了当地百姓的疑惧心理，和当地百姓打成了一片。四班副班长李进（廖有梁 饰）在二妹子(陶玉玲 饰)家养伤的时候，耳鬓丝磨，产生了感情。指导员（徐林格 饰）发现后劝他们放下儿女私情。部队离开后，土豪刘胡子欲霸占二妹子，二妹子坚决不从，她心里一直想着李进。部队接到二妹子弟弟小牛(陈东岗 饰)送来的求救消息，率队返回柳堡，救出了绝境中的二妹子。但李进还是以革命大局为重，安怃好二妹子，重返抗战前线，期待胜利后重逢的日子......
