在名為納瓦利亞王國的小島，追影有著這樣的習俗：追影王位繼承者必須與國王指定的人結婚。對戀愛充滿憧憬的公主瑪格麗塔（羽月希 飾），對於沒有愛情的婚姻感到絕望，投海自殺之際，在神的引導下發現一本日本少女漫畫。第一次看到男女之間濃厚的愛情，這讓瑪格麗塔欣喜不已。在教堂禱告的同時，瑪利亞神像指引瑪格麗塔「命運之人就在日本」。從國王那得到許可前往日本後，瑪格麗塔進入漫畫界成為匠人的弟子……
