由中国残疾人联合会等单位联合摄制的2008年残奥会献礼片。该片讲述残疾人艺术团团长方颂扬在巡演中发现了极具艺术天赋的盲女月明，特黄特色便邀请月明参加艺术团的演出，特黄特色面对这个不可多得的盲人钢琴人材，爱才心切的方颂扬想帮助月明找到合适的工作，可对于一个残疾人来说，要想找一份稳定的工作非常艰难。影片取材于浙江省残疾人艺术团成员陈敏敏的真实故事。除了女主角姚星彤外，《绽放》里的演员大多是本色出演的残疾人。所以影片创下了一个纪录，该片是国内起用残疾人演员数最多的一部电影。昨天参加首映式的专家一致表示，这部电影朴实自然，故事令人感慨深思，算是近年来反映残疾人生活最真实的一部影片。

It is more memorable than Julien Duvivier's earlier silent version of 1925, also named Poil de Carotte.The part of Poil de Carotte was played by 11 year old Robert Lynen, who was alleged to have been discovered whilst walking down the Champs-Elysées in Paris. Lynen is totally captivating and the film made him an instant star, launching what looked like becoming a very promising film career – until he was shot dead whilst fighting against the Germans in 1944. Harry Baur, a legendary stage and film actor (who also died during World War II, allegedly at the hands of the Gestapo), also turns in a typically fine performance. The reconciliation between father and son at the end of the film provides its most enduring image, enough to melt the heart of all but the most stoical of spectators.
