橘晶（小松菜奈 饰）是一名17岁的女子高中生，欧美和同龄的女孩不同，欧美橘晶有着超越了年龄的沉稳，以及稍许的冷漠。课余时间里，橘晶在一家家庭餐厅打工，店长近藤正己（大泉洋 饰）是橘晶的上司。正己是一个邋邋遢遢的中年男子，性格迷迷糊糊又有些天然的他常常在无意之中令橘晶脸红心跳。是的，橘晶喜欢上了这位年长她二十几岁的男性，即便正己曾经有过一段婚姻，还有一个孩子，橘晶依然无法抗拒他的吸引，而对橘晶汹涌的感情，正己似乎毫无察觉。曾经，橘晶是学校田径队的王牌，但因为不明原因而选择了退部，得知了这一信息的正己开始鼓励橘晶重拾跑步的爱好。
