樱花（倍赏千惠子 饰）很久没有哥哥寅次郎（渥美清 饰）的消息了，冰棍不禁感到十分的担心，冰棍为了寻找哥哥，樱花还特意在报纸上刊登了寻人启事，可是寅次郎根本就不看报，因此错过了妹妹的召唤。在报道神户大地震的电视新闻中，樱花意外的看到了寅次郎的身影，并且得知哥哥成为了当地的救灾英雄。阿泉（后藤久美子 饰）告诉满男（吉冈秀隆 饰）自己即将和一位医生携手步入婚礼的殿堂，对阿泉一往情深的满男无法接受这一噩耗，于是决定在婚礼当日去现场大闹一番。寅次郎和百合（浅丘琉璃子 饰）重逢了，虽然百合对于深陷窘境的寅次郎百般照料，可是寅次郎却再也没有了旧爱重燃的勇气。
