小喜（金喜善 饰）的父亲早逝，亚洲然而，亚洲这么多年过去了，善良单纯的小喜却一直相信着，父亲其实是去了火星，因此，每当想念父亲之时，小喜都会写下寄往火星的信件，而回信的责任，便落在了小喜的青梅竹马胜在（申河均 饰）的肩头。之后，小喜离开了家乡外出闯荡，并且邂逅了本以为是一生挚爱的男子，可是，残酷的生活带给小喜的却只有失去和伤痛，这让小喜猛然醒悟，发现原来最爱的人其实是一直对自己不离不弃默默陪伴的胜在。怀揣着一颗伤痕累累的心，小喜终于在离家十七年之后重新回到了故乡，然而，这一次胜在却没有等他，因为他已经离开了人世，前往了那个名叫“火星”的地方。
