《第三波》讲述了欧洲被一种僵尸病毒肆虐了六年之后，假面终于找到了可以让僵尸变回正常人的“解药”。但是康复的这些人并不被社会所接受，假面家人亲属排斥他们，政府也严格管控他们。在愤怒、内疚、恐惧的百感交集下，一些“康复了的僵尸”开始进行恐怖活动，社会又一次陷入了动荡。药治得了病，却治不了人心。
