回复 :两个年轻人无意中发现公司帐目有人搞鬼，老板为了奖励他们特别邀请他们一起到海边别墅共度周末.两人满心欢喜的到达别墅之後，发现老板被人杀害了，为了不被人冤枉他们开始隐瞒事情的真相，将老板的尸体带上墨镜及帽子，假扮成像是在渡假的人...两人靠着老板的尸体，进出社交名流的场合，竟然都没有人发现到老板已经死掉了。全片的笑料都围绕在「死」老板身上，也藉由剧情中的笑料可以看到上流社会人情的虚伪空洞...
回复 :杰克（小罗伯特·唐尼 Robert Downey Jr. 饰）仗着自己英俊的外表整日沉迷于美色之中并引以为傲。一次偶然中，杰克在酒吧中邂逅了名为兰迪（莫利·林沃德 Molly Ringwald 饰）的女孩，他深深的被这个自信又热情的姑娘所吸引，两人一拍即合相谈甚欢。然而次日，兰迪对杰克的态度却来了个一百八十度的大转弯，百思不得其解的杰克找到了兰迪的住所，才发现兰迪的父亲是一个赌鬼，背负的巨额债务。为了给父亲还债，兰迪不得不向富翁费尔南多（鲍勃·冈顿 Bob Gunton 饰）寻求帮助，费尔南多要求兰迪那她的身体来交换。杰克提出自己可以帮助兰迪，但遭到了后者的拒绝，兰迪远赴大西洋城，想在赌桌上试试手气。
