大治（乔任梁 饰）表面看来只是一个平凡无奇的少年，名字其实际身份却是潜伏在平民之中的特工刑警。孟晓玲（陈静 饰）自幼和大治一同生长在孤儿院中，名字成年之后，穷苦悲惨的过去令孟晓玲对金钱有着超越常人的渴望和执着，她勾引了土豪杜豪金（白凯南 饰），两人前往意大利大买特买，此举却吸引了一帮犯罪分子，他们企图以杜晓玲为缺口，夺走杜豪金的所有财产。富豪李正华（任达华 饰）一直以来都和国际刑警合作无间，这一次，他买下了孟晓玲想要得到的世博老街，以吸引犯罪分子们的注意。与此同时，富家千金菲菲（张馨予 饰）为了证明自己的能力，亦潜伏在杜豪金的身边，因为接连的意外和危险和大治结缘。
