广州一个炎热的夏日，亚洲页高耸入云的摩天大楼内，亚洲页不同行业的人们各自忙碌，经营着自己的人生。曾在消防队服役的阿强（古天乐 饰）开办的消防系统公司是日开张，另外一层的诊所内，消防特勤队大队长大军（刘青云 饰）的妻子思乐（李心洁 饰）正做着孕前检查。与此同时，大厦空调系统出现问题，防范意识较差的维修人员更引起不可遏制的火情。经验丰富的阿强迅速组织疏散，然而火势迅速蔓延到各个楼层，受灾民众的安全受到极大威胁。接到报警后，大军带领战友迅速赶赴现场。史无前例的灾害，让大军和阿强这对失和多年的兄弟再度联系起来。危急时刻，人的生命和人性经受着最严峻的考验……

Overcoming his struggles with alcohol and drugs, he rebuilt his reputation as "one of the great primal rock and roll vocalists of all time" (Billy Joel's description). The film mixes Joe Cocker's own words, with rare archive. His family, friends and the legendary songwriters and musicians he collaborated with, tell Joe Cocker's story. The film has raw, electric performance footage throughout.
