回复 :20世纪60年代末，左翼暴动席卷香港，局势动荡。从乡下来到大都市小玉（张曼玉 饰）是一个苦不见出头的小演员，为了金钱为了上位，真可谓不惜一切代价。在某导演的帮助下，小玉搬入一栋新公寓，偶然机会认识了住在天台的阿恭（钟镇涛 饰）。穷困潦倒的阿恭白天是一名白牌出租车司机，晚上则成为阔太太的性伴侣。两个畸零人从最初的轻视和憎恨，最终走到了一起。他们努力赚钱，经营生活，但动乱的局势仍将他们微小的幸福一次次击碎……本片荣获1990年香港金像奖最佳女主角（张曼玉）、最佳艺术指导和最佳剧本三项大奖。

The film starts with verse 67, “O somma luce…” and continues to the end. “O Somma luce” recalls the first words uttered by Empedocles in Danièle Huillet and Jean-Marie Straub’s 1987 The Death of Empedocles—“O himmlisch Licht!…” (O heavenly light!). This extract from Hölderlin’s text is also inserted into their 1989 film Cézanne.“O somma luce” invokes utopia, or better still “u-topos,” Dante, Holderlin, Cézanne… the camera movement, recalling Sisyphus, in the film’s long shots, suggests its difficulty.In O somma luce, with Giorgio Passerone’s Dante and the verse that concluded the Divine Comedy, we find at the extremity of its possibilities, the almost happy speech of a man who has just left earthly paradise, who tries to fully realize the potential of his nature.
