在首都北京，古怪有一个特殊的群体，古怪他们被群众亲切地称为“小巷管家”。 “小巷管家”不是什么领导，但心里装的都是街坊四邻家门口的事，诸如邻里纠纷、占道停车、私搭乱建、公厕改造、环境提升以及照顾空巢老人等诸多和老百姓直接相关的难题。国风社区的赵建国就是首都数万名“小巷管家”中的一员，他凭着内心对党的无限忠诚与热爱，在社区党委的带领下，学习并运用“街乡吹哨、部门报到”制度，一件一件解决了困扰街坊四邻的诸多老大难问题，既为居民带来了实实在在的获得感，也向新中国成立七十周年献上一份基层党员的倾情厚礼。

It is more memorable than Julien Duvivier's earlier silent version of 1925, also named Poil de Carotte.The part of Poil de Carotte was played by 11 year old Robert Lynen, who was alleged to have been discovered whilst walking down the Champs-Elysées in Paris. Lynen is totally captivating and the film made him an instant star, launching what looked like becoming a very promising film career – until he was shot dead whilst fighting against the Germans in 1944. Harry Baur, a legendary stage and film actor (who also died during World War II, allegedly at the hands of the Gestapo), also turns in a typically fine performance. The reconciliation between father and son at the end of the film provides its most enduring image, enough to melt the heart of all but the most stoical of spectators.
