故事根据樋口卓治的同名小说改编，搭车2014年与2015年分别以舞台剧与电视剧形式亮相。被告知只有几个月生命的电视台能干放送作家三村修治（织田裕二饰）在人生最后阶段决定实行一个特别的“企划”，搭车全力为妻子彩子（吉田羊饰）寻找一位“最棒的结婚对象”而努力奔走。
