Etienne是一个不成功的话剧导演，免费他在监狱组建了一支戏剧表演队伍，免费带着一组囚犯排练经典戏剧——《等待戈多》。 在他终于获得了许可带着一租囚犯出狱巡回演出的时候，Etienne重拾了自信。他们的首次公演虽然稚嫩，但得到了剧场老板的认同，Etienne与这些特殊演员之间的关系也变得更加密切。然而囚犯们却在谋划趁着演出期间集体出逃。
