故事发生在20世纪民国年间，欧美镖师关宁（焦恩俊 饰）与水云（苗圃 饰）真心相爱。因意外水云腹中胎儿不幸夭折，欧美并从此不能生育，为传宗接代关宁找了另一个能为其延续香火的女人罗玉（王宇婕 饰），万念俱灰的水云回到了水云寨。师爷（于东江 饰）是关宁最信任的幕僚，但他却是个见利忘义的小人，为窃取国宝不惜嫁祸出生入死的兄弟高德全，并杀害了其全家老小。罗玉深爱着关宁，而关宁心中念念不忘的却是弃他而去的水云，这让罗玉妒火中烧，时时想对其除之而后快。真汉子王二刀（赵燕郭彰 饰）对关宁忠心耿耿，他因不愿兄弟间为贪国宝内斗撕杀，主动替主出头，不料却命丧黄泉……
