东京地检城西支部，伊人川尻健三郎（松重丰 饰）、伊人田村雅史（杉本哲太 饰）、马场礼子（吉田羊 饰）、宇野大介（滨田岳 饰）等性格各异的检察官插科打诨，玩笑斗嘴，日复一日过着波澜不惊的公务员生活。美貌动人而踌躇满志的麻木千佳（北川景子 饰）这天从上司处得知，她将为某位新来的检察官担任事务官，谁知来者正是当年从城西支部调走的久利生公平（木村拓哉 饰）。与一身正装且郑重其事的麻木不同的是，公平穿着休闲，态度懒散，而且对待检举的态度也和麻木格格不入。但任凭时光怎样流转，公平还是当年那个公平，他一定要用自己的双眼确认真相，宁可放走坏人也绝不冤枉一个好人。记忆中的律政英雄，强势回归！
